Disney has debuted a new three-minute behind-the-scenes featurette on IGN for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time that's called "Creating an Epic." You better be excited for this one! I feel like we've seen a lot from this movie already, but it's not even March yet, we've got a lot more to come. However, that doesn't mean this featurette isn't awesome anyway. It's got some cool location stuff, interviews with Bruckheimer, Gyllenhaal, Arterton, Newell, Kingsley, and plenty of new footage, which is always great to see (at least this far out from release). I'm still excited for this but I feel like I'm one of the few. Change anyone's mind?Follows a prince who must stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is directed by English director Mike Newell, of Donnie Brasco, Pushing Tin, Mona Lisa Smile, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire previously. The screenplay was co-written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard (The Uninvited, The Sorcerer's Apprentice) and the story was developed by Jordan Mechner, one of the original creators of the video game. Disney will be bringing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time to theaters everywhere starting on May 28th, 2010 this summer. Will you be seeing it?
