NEW CONCEPT ART FOR THE GREEN LANTERN MOVIE.

It looks like some concept art for Warner Bros. upcoming comic book film The Green Lantern has leaked online. The images come from Cosmic Book News and apparently the concept art that you see has been verified. Just so you know, when developing a film like this there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of concept art designs that are done before the movie goes into production. These are just one artist's interpretation of what these characters may end up looking like on film. So just know that this isn't a final design.The art you see here is of Kilowog, Tomar-Re and Abin Sur. In a recent interview director Martin Campbell confrmed that these three characters would in fact be in the movie.

''Well, Kilowog will be… Tomar-Re is in it. Sinestro is in it. Abin Sur is in it. All the origin people. Carol [Ferris], of course, who will be played by Blake Lively. All the main characters are there, and it’s a complex story. The origin story of Green Lantern is complex, probably one of the most complex, which makes it a challenge to get it right.''

This is definitely some slick looking concept art, and it gives us an idea of the visual direction they are looking at taking this movie. The images you see above are of Tomar-Re and Abin Sure, the images below are of Kilowog.

I hope they can pull this off. It was just announced that the CG work will be done by Sony Imageworks will take on the CGI effects for the film.
