First Official Images of THE LOSERS.

A couple images from Warner Bros. new comic book adapted film, The Losers, popped up over at Omlete. Up until now we have seen iphone pics and candid photos. These are our first official look at the film.

This comic book has had two versions. One that was published in the 1970’s that takes place during Second World War, where a Special Forces group composed of personnel from all branches of the armed forces was formed. The members were Captain William Storm, a former PT Boat commander with a wooden leg and an eye-patch; Johnny Cloud of the U.S. Army Air Force, known as “The Navajo Ace”; Sarge Clay, one of the oldest serving Marines, and Gunner Mackey, one of the youngest. Because each member had suffered the deaths of personnel under their command for which they felt responsible, they dubbed themselves The Losers.

The film stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Holt McCallany, Oscar Jaenada, Jason Patric, and Peter Macdissi.

I hope the movie turns out to be good, but there is a chance that it could end up being a bad adaptation. My biggest fear is the director Sylvain White, who made such films as Stomp the Yard and I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

''An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, “The Losers” centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team–Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar–find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they’re joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.''

The Losers is set to be released on April 9th 2010. Check out the photos below and tell us what you think! Source: Geektyrant.com
