Get a First Look at Kick-Ass's Hit Girl.

By all accounts, Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, based on the comic by Mark Millar, is a very different kind of superhero film, one rife with realistic violence and injuries. As if to emphasize that point, the film has released the first still of one of it's main characters to Empire Online, and that still is of the 11-year old assassin Hit Girl, played by Chloe Grace Moretz.

Hit Girl, aka Mindy, is an assassin who has been trained by her father, Big Daddy (played by Nicolas Cage) since she was four. "Think Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman rolled into one. She's an 11 year-old and she's the ultimate assassin. She kills, I think, 20 people in a minute."

Kick-Ass follows the story of a 15-year-old boy named Dave Lizewski who, despite living in the "real world", decides to become a superhero. The film, adapted from Mark Millar's comic of the same name, was co-written and is being directed by Matthew Vaughn. Kick-Ass stars Aaron Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Clark Duke and Nicolas Cage.
