Neve Campbell Returns as Sidney Prescott for Scream 4!

As you know Scream 4 is gearing up for production which will kick off an all new Scream trilogy. Courteney Cox and David Arquette have both committed to return to the franchise, but that is the only cast that has really been unveiled until today. Variety reports that Neve Campbell has just signed on to be in Scream 4! I wasn’t sure if she would do it or not, and I heard she wasn’t very keen on the idea, but I guess money talks, or maybe the script is really good. I’m glad she’s coming back, she really hasn’t done anything worth mentioning since Scream, which is kinda weird. So it looks like they are getting the gang back together! Everyone except for Randy, which sucks, he was always my favorite Scream character. Scream 4 will star Production in April or May, and the Weinstein’s are still in talks with Wes Craven to come back and direct the films. It would be great if they were able to get Craven back on board!

Other movies the Weinsteins plan to reboot include, Children of the Corn, Hellraiser, Scanners (3D), Short Circuit, and An American Werewolf in London. They are really excited to expanding more into 3D filmmaking.

HE-MAN Movie Ends up over at Sony Pictures.

After Warner Bros. dropped the ball on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Producer Joel Silver just couldn’t get it together, for one reason or another. So, Mattel took back the rights and sold them to Sony. Now that Sony has it they are going to start from scratch.Sony and Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will now start developing He-Man for Columbia Pictures. Unfortunately this producing team has developed some pretty bad films in the past, like The Taking of Pelham 123, Knowing, and Seven Pounds. So it looks like this will be their first fantasy action film, and as much as I want to be excited about this movie getting made, now that I see who is involved my excitment is dwindling. Before the film was described as being as epic as Lord of the Rings. If they are starting from scratch then I guess that’s not going to happen.John Stevenson was previously attached to direct the film, but if they are starting from scratch he may not be involved any longer. Justin Marks and Evan Daugherty both wrote great versions of the script for Warner Bros. The WB will retain the rights to those scripts, so Sony is going to have to find a new writer.I wish this would have worked out at Warner Bros. Everything seemed so promising. We were going to get a hardcore epic He-Man movie! Now who knows what we are going to get from a team of producers that have mostly produced crap. The only movie I liked that they did was The Pursuit of Happiness. Care to share you thoughts?

New One Sheet For TRANSYLMANIA.

This Transylmania one sheet resembles the old school Buffy The Vampire Slayer poster,don’t you think? Hitting theaters on December 4th from Full Circle Releasing we will see what this campy slayer comedy is all about.

Synopsis: Directed by David Hillenbrand and Scott Hillenbrand, the film follows a motley group of college students who embark on a semester at Razvan University. Located deep in the heart of the “cursed land” of Transylvania in a centuries-old castle, Razvan isn’t your typical institution of higher learning – and the black leather-clad professors, three-foot-tall dean, instruction in crucifix-wielding, and topless vampiresses lurking in dark corners are just the start. It seems Castle Razvan was overtaken by a band of vampires led by the feared Vampire King Radu in the dark ages who’s come back to reclaim it.

Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘D’ Project Revealed: A New Disney Animation Label.

Recently Guillermo Del Toro teased us with an announcement of a project relating to the letter ‘D’. Speculation ran rampant that it would be anything from a film based on DC’s character Deadman to his projected adaptation of Drood by Dan Simmons, to all sorts of other outlandish stuff.

Now we know the deal: he’s teaming up with Disney to launch a new animation label called Disney Double Dare You, which will “create new animated films full of chills and thrills for audiences of all ages.”

We don’t know too much more than the basics right now. Del Toro will be producing all films under the banner, and directing some projects. (How and when he’ll do that, considering the rich set of projects already on his plate, remains a mystery. I’m thinking clones.) He did appear via satellite at Disney’s D23 panel today to make the announcement. He says the intent of the label is to touch on the scary side of Disney, seemingly alluding to the sensation of evil and chills created by villains in classic Disney animation. But “the emphasis is on fun, and we have some great ideas already on the storyboards,” he said.

The first feature will be Trollhunters, which GDT tells Variety is based on an original story he wrote. Additionally, the Double Dare You films will be linked by “one feature that shall remain secret, but that you shall soon be very familiar with.”

Great New Trailer For TRICK ‘R TREAT.

I’m really pissed that this film never got a theatrical release. I have yet to see the film, but I wanted to see it on the big screen. It seems like everyone that has seen Trick ‘r Treat has loved the hell out of it, so I am extremely excited to finally see it when it makes it way onto DVD and Blu Ray on October 6th. JENNIFERS BODY Film Clip.

Hey folks MTV debuted a new clip from Jennifer’s Body today. The male killing film was Directed by Karyn Kusama from a script written by Diablo Cody, and it stars Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons, Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons. The movie is set to come out in theaters on September 18.

New clip for FLASH FORWARD.

Here is a new clip for the new series Flash Forward which will be premiering on ABC this coming season. Flash Forward was created by David S. Goyer and Brannon Braga. The series Is based on the novel by Robert J. Sawyer. A worldwide event happens that causes everyone to see a “vision” of themselves six moths in the future. The effects last only for two minutes and seventeen seconds. ABC hopes this will be a worthy replacement for their super successful hit series Lost that is due to enter its final year this season.

The show will star some Lost alums and a slew of other actors including: Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List, Dominic Monaghan, Brían F. O’Byrne, Gabrielle Union, Courtney B. Vance, Sonya Walger and Christine Woods.

Thrilling New The Descent 2 Trailer.

Here’s a “beautiful” Hi-Res poster for the sixth film in the Saw franchise, Saw VI. I love how they get all fancy with the roman numerals. Or if you wanna add some spanish flavor, Saw Seis.

Just like the Blood Drive Nurse, even with how gross and wrong this poster is, I’ve gotta admit it’s very well done. Just not my cup o’ tea.

Will The Flaming Lips Be In The New Where The Wild Things Are Trailer?

Don’t be surprised if you hear a Flaming Lips song in the new trailer for Spike Jonze’s adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are.Apparently Lips head Wayne Coyne was asked if Warner Bros could use one of the band’s songs in the next trailer. Jonze is considering using either “Do You Realise” or “The yeah yeah yeah song”. Pedestrian overheard a conversation between Coyne and his manager where he decided that “Do You Realise” had more of a WTWTA vibe, but then went onto to say they can use either, as he’d prefer to let them choose.

The site asked Coyne on video for clarification, and the singer admitted that the movie looks like it has a “Flaming Lips kinda vibe” but that as far as the music, it is unclear if it will actually happen. (”They could be asking for a thousand songs, and they’ll try it out on an audience and see which one works…”).

I’m glad to see that Warner Bros isn’t forcing Jonze to sell the movie as a mainstream kids film. If the footage that was shown at Comic-Con was any indication (there wasn’t a dry eye in Hall H), this film has the potential to connect with people on a much stronger level than any family film in recent years. And the vibe is something entirely different. Songs from bands like Arcade Fire and the Flaming Lips seem to fit better than most. And yes, you could use the words indie or hipster, but that isn’t really an accurate description.

A behind the scenes featurette for the film was released last week during Comic-Con, which I don’t believe we ever got a chance to post. In the clip, Author Maurice Sendak says that he’s “never seen a movie that looked or felt like this,” and I’d have to agree. And since we never got around to properly posting the clip during the Comic-Con madness (I believe we did link it at some point), check out the clip embedded below.

2 new pictures for Jen's Body.

JENNIFER'S BODY is gonna be gargantuan once that shit hits theaters . Mark my words. From what I can tell, it's the perfect combination of teenage angst, horror, comedy, sex, gore, and muthaf*ckin' Megan Fox. The perfect movie? That remains to be seen, but it's going in the right direction!

IGN scored two new images from the film, both of which are somewhat boring and non life-altering, but hey... it's JENNIFER'S BODY we're talking about here, so who cares, right?

At least one of the new pics features someone other than Megan Fox. Oh yeah, you didn't know that? Yup, the film also stars Amanda Seyfried (pictured), Johnny Simmons, Adam Brody, and J.K. Simmons. Who knew? All this focus on Fox all the time and we forget about the little things...
