Jennifer’s Body “BLOWS” At The Box Office.

So did you go see Jennifer’s Body this weekend? Not a whole lot of people did either so you are not alone! Not even Megan Fox’s good looks and diva attitude could help this movie. All the good parts were shown in the trailers and that’s pretty much it ya’ll. It brought in only $6.8 million and came in at 5th place. After this weeks leak about how Fox acted like a biotch to Michael Bay and then his Transformers 2 crew having his back saying she was very difficult to work with, she might be crawling back to him for forgiveness and maybe an even smaller part in Transformers 3, whenever that happens. It’s not like she’s getting alot of movie offers out there in lala land! With only a $16 million budget Fox will be struggling to make that money back!

On a cool side note, Halloween 2 has brought in over $30 million and has more than doubled it’s budget! And The Final Destination has brought in over $62 million with only a $40 million budget so it’s in the green also. The only reason I’m bringing this up is for horror and sci-fi movies to continue they have to make money and these have! District 9 has also done very well!

Red band trailer for I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.

My name is Tucker Max. And, I am an asshole. It's impossible to keep me away from what I want. My creed is to indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. I can't be accountable for all that comes out of my mouth especially when I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregarding social norms. I do contribute to humanity in one very important way though -- I share my adventures with the world -- and offer the best advice I know to friends faced with tough questions. "What would Tucker do? And you go out and do it," that's what I say. So that's me in a nutshell.

It seems Castle Razvan was overtaken by a band of vampires led by the feared Vampire King Radu in the dark ages who’s come back to reclaim it.

Trailer for The Men Who Stare at Goats.

In this quirky dark comedy inspired by a real life story you will hardly believe is actually true, astonishing revelations about a top-secret wing of the U.S. military come to light when a reporter encounters an enigmatic Special Forces operator on a mind-boggling mission. Reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) is in search of his next big story when he encounters Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), a shadowy figure who claims to be part of an experimental U.S. military unit. According to Cassady, the New Earth Army is changing the way wars are fought. A legion of “Warrior Monks” with unparalleled psychic powers can read the enemy’s thoughts, pass through solid walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it. Now, the program’s founder, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), has gone missing and Cassady’s mission is to find him.

Intrigued by his new acquaintance’s far-fetched stories, Bob impulsively decides to accompany him on the search. When the pair tracks Django to a clandestine training camp run by renegade psychic Larry Hooper (Kevin Spacey), the reporter is trapped in the middle of a grudge match between the forces of Django’s New Earth Army and Hooper’s personal militia of super soldiers. In order to survive this wild adventure, Bob will have to outwit an enemy he never thought possible. The Men Who Stare at Goats was inspired by Jon Ronson’s non-fiction bestseller of the same name, an eye-opening and often hilarious exploration of the government’s attempts to harness paranormal abilities to combat its enemies.

TRANSYLMANIA Movie Trailer.

In Transylmania, a motley group of college students embark on the wildest, sexiest, most outrageous semester abroad ever at Razvan University. Located deep in the heart of the "cursed land" of Transylvania in a centuries-old castle, Razvan isn't your typical institution of higher learning – and the black leather-clad professors, three-foot-tall dean, instruction in crucifix-wielding, and topless vampiresses lurking in dark corners are just the start. It seems Castle Razvan was overtaken by a band of vampires led by the feared Vampire King Radu in the dark ages who's come back to reclaim it.

A bubbling cauldron of wacky horror spoof, vampire action-adventure, and naughty college comedy, Transylmania culminates in a hilarious climax that just might leave our bumbling heroes not Euro-trashed, but Euro-slashed. "Transylmania" will be sure to slay audiences with its biting wit and bring a welcome levity to the air of heavy drama typically found in the midst of awards season.

Comic-Con: New Zombieland Red Band Trailer and Footage Debut.

Sometimes the Hall H presentations really have their moments. I’d mostly avoided the brief Zombieland footage that had been released so far; it’s one of those films I just wanted to see all at once. But damn, the red-band trailer that premiered in the big hall today was fantastic, full of slo-mo zombie kills (this is a great way to use speed ramping) and some great humor from Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. More on the trailer and a couple of clips after the jump; it’s the sort of thing that some might call spoilerish, too.We saw two clips from the film in addition to the red-band trailer. One featured Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) at home just before the zombie outbreak begins. He’s alone at night when someone begins frantically banging on his door and shouting for help. It’s his hot next door neighbor, played by Amber Heard, and she’s suffered a weird attack from a hobo who rushed and tried to bite her. After awkwardly comforting the girl (and giving us some private comments via voiceover, which seems like it’ll be a constant device throughout the film) Columbus and the girl fall asleep on the couch. He wakes to find her turned into a zombie, which leads into a violent, frantic chase through the house.

The next clip showed Columbus and Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) arriving at a supermarket, where they dispatch a few zombies and run into Witchita (Emma Stone) and her sister Little Rock (Abigail Breslin). The situation gets complicated, and I won’t ruin the outcome of the scene. But what director Ruber Fleischer has managed looks like a great combination of action and humor, with a splash of real horror. This movie looks gory and outrageous (I kept thinking of the game Dead Rising) and a lot more fun than I’d been willing to hope. The audience reaction was great, and the voiceover from Eisenberg seems like it works pretty well. There’s a Woody Allen-like tone to his inner dialogue, but Eisenberg mentioned on the panel that Columbus has a list of ways to survive a zombie attack, many of which we’ll hear explained throughout the film, balancing out the nebbishness of his character.

Today’s red-band trailer isn’t live online yet, but I hope it hits soon.

Zac Efron vs. Russell Crowe? No Box-Office Contest.

Poor Oscar-winning Russell Crowe. He never had a chance against Zac Efron.

Efron's 17 Again grossed an estimated $24.1 million at the weekend box office, per Exhibitor Relations. The body-switching comedy hit the upper range of projections, and dominated the competition, including the new Crowe thriller, State of Play ($14.1 million).

Elsewhere, Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana: The Movie ($12.7 million) fell fast and furious, while Crank: High Voltage ($6.5 millon) suffered a cold start.

Drilling down into the numbers:

• As box-office weekends this red-hot year go, this one was kind of tepid—no film reported a per-screen average of at least $10,000. 17 Again led the top films with a $7,393 average.

• 17 Again's take was enough to let Efron call himself a movie-opener. He did, after all, out-open Crowe, Julia Roberts, Steve Martin, Seth Rogen and all three Jonas brothers, to name some 2009 box-office leads.

• For those keeping score at home, Efron did not out-open Cyrus/Hannah Montana or High School Musical 3: Senior Year, both of which had the big advantage of being existing, TV-based franchises.

• By placing second, State of Play seemed to disprove the Los Angeles Times' notion that the film was going to be the end of the non-tween film. Still, its debut was virtually identical to that of Roberts' Duplicity, which departed the Top 10 after four weekends with a disappointing $39.1 million overall gross. Also, State of Play's debut leaves it a long way, on the domestic side, at least, from its reported $60 million budget.

• Last weekend's No. 1 film, Hannah Montana, saw ticket sales plunge 61 percent. Still, the reputed $35 million comedy upped its overall take to $56.1 million.

• Among the new releases, Crank: High Voltage not only didn't challenge 17 Again or State of Play, it didn't challenge the original Crank, which opened with $10.5 million in 2006.

• In its second weekend, Rogen's Observe and Report ($4.1 million; $18.7 million overall) is all but done, but not before topping its reported $18 million budget.

• The low-budget Adventureland ($1.3 million) exits the Top 10 after two weekends, and a $14 million overall take.

• Reports vary wildly on the budget of Dragonball Evolution ($1.6 million). For the sake of the economy, it would be best if it were on the extremely low side as the film was bounced from the Top 10 after just one weekend, and a cumulative "gross" of $7.8 million.

• By the way, if you didn't have a movie in release this weekend, then Dragonball Evolution only made $722 more per theater than you did.

Here's a complete look at the weekend's top-grossing films based on Friday-Sunday estimates as compiled by Exhibitor Relations:

1- 17 Again, $24.1 million
2- State of Play, $14.1 million
3- Monsters vs. Aliens, $12.9 million
4- Hannah Montana: The Movie, $12.7 million
5- Fast & Furious, $12.3 million
6- Crank: High Voltage, $6.5 million
7- Observe and Report, $4.1 million
8- Knowing, $3.5 million
9- I Love You, Man, $3.4 million
10- The Haunting in Connecticut, $3.2 million
