Um "esgotamento e cansaço emocional" são as principais causas que podem levar ao cancelamento da digressão da nova estrela mundial pelo Reino Unido e EUA. Susan Boyle está internada numa clínica psiquiátrica desde o dia a seguir à final do Britain's Got Talent.
A tournée deveria arrancar no dia 12, mas tal não será possível devido aos tratamentos a que Susan Boyle está a ser sujeita.

O The Times avança que Simon Cowell é que está a suportar todos os custos desta estadia forçada de Susan Boyle na clínica Priory.

Dono de loja evita assalto e ajuda ladrão.

O sangue frio da potencial vítima evitou o assalto. Depois, perante a angústia do ladrão, o dono da loja encheu-se de pena, fê-lo prometer que nunca mais tentaria um assalto e ainda lhe deu 40 dólares e um pão.

Mohammad Sohail estava a fechar a sua loja de conveniência, pouco depois da meia-noite do dia 21 de Maio, quando viu um homem dirigir-se a ele, com taco de basebol, exgindo dinheiro.

O dono da loja conta à CNN que conseguiu chegar ao balcão para pegar na sua arma e ordenou ao ladrão que largasse o taco e se ajoelhasse, ao que aquele terá obedecido em lágrimas, implorando que a potencial vítima não chamasse a polícia.

"Não tenho dinheiro, não tenho comida em casa", implorou o ladrão.

Tocado pela história do homem que minutos antes o tentara assaltar, Sohail fê-lo prometer que não tornaria a roubar e, quando este concordou, deu-lhe 40 dólares e um pão.

A reacção do assaltante não foi menos invulgar: "quero ser muçulmano, como tu."

Desvendado caso do aparente suicídio de pais e filho.

Primeiro, parecia um caso de suicídio familiar, com a descoberta dos corpos de um casal e do filho na base de um penhasco, no Sul de Inglaterra, mas afinal o menino de cinco anos tinha morrido em casa, vítima de meningite, quatro dias antes.

O caso está a comover os britânicos. Os pais de uma criança de cinco anos, que sofria de meningite e morreu na passada sexta-feira, suicidaram-se ao saltar de um penhasco, com o corpo do menino numa mochila.
Os cadáveres foram avistados pr umaa patrulha da guarda costeira a 120 metros do topo de um penhasco em Beachy Head, no sul da Inglaterra, na noite de domingo. Na segunda-feira, as autoridades localizaram a mochila com o corpo da criança e uma outra, mais longe, com brinquedos.

O filho era tetraplégico desde 2005, quando foi vítima de um acidente de carro.

As escarpas de Beachy Head são um local conhecido pela incidência de suicídios: cerca de 20 por ano.

Remember that 22-year old chick that was auctioning off her virginity? Well the winning $3.8 million was placed by an Australian real estate mogul. Unfortunately, he's bailing out of the deal. Why? His wife won't let him do it!

Natalie Dylan (not her real name) admitted the deal had fallen through.

Last week, she got a phone call from the rogue Romeo, a 38-year-old Australian real-estate businessman, who said he had to back out.

"I told him to go back into marriage therapy," sniped Dylan.

The Growing Chair is a clear plastic frame in which you grow trees to form a seat shape so that, in your old age, you can sit around drinking moonshine and reminiscing on the days when you had to use power tools to make a chair (or were Amish).
