First Look at Superman in the Suit on Smallville!

The CW has unveiled the highly anticipated first look at Tom Welling's Superman wearing the official "first" suit the character has ever worn as the hero in this season of Smallville. Take a look!This ninth year of Smallville begins September 25th and promises even more surprises, with Brian Austin Green appearing as John Corben and Callum Blue as Zod. The series was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with a cast that includes Tom Welling, Allison Mack, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, and Erica Durance.

It's Official: Ryan Reynolds Is the Green Lantern!

A three-way casting race for the latest superhero movie has finally been decided. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Reynolds has officially won the role of Green Lantern.

It was reported earlier today that there was a three-way race for the role between Reynolds, Bradley Cooper and Justin Timberlake, but the trade is reporting that Jared Leto was also in contention for the role. Reynolds entered into negotiations for the role earlier today.

Reynolds will be the first actor to portray a film superhero for both Marvel and DC Comics film adaptations, with Reynolds portrayal earlier this year of Deadpool in Marvel's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Check out the first official photo of Sam Worthington in the Louis Leterrier-directed Clash of the Titans that appeared in Empire magazine. The Warner Bros. Pictures action-adventure opens in theaters March 26, 2010, and stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Danny Huston, Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Jason Flemyng, Alexa Davalos, Izabella Miko, Nicholas Hoult and Pete Postlethwaite.

A remake of the 1981 mythical adventure film about the myth of Perseus, Clash of the Titans features Sam Worthington as Perseus who in order to win the right to marry his love Andromeda (Alexa Davalos) and fulfill his destiny, Perseus must complete various quests and battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda.
