Finally More Jeepers Creepers 3 News!

Who wants more Jeepers Creepers news? “I do,I do!” Well, here’s the best we’ve had in a while and not a moment too soon if you ask me!

Our friends over at Dread Central caught up with Salva to give them an update on the project and some details about the story, “The financing is just coming together, so perhaps we will be in preproduction shortly,” Salva tells Dread. “We have been saying this for a year now, but that’s really about all I can with any certainty.”

“Breck will of course don his wings once again as our favorite flying man-eater, though we have decided, after much fan feedback, to give him his truck back for the new film. Gina Phillips will be back in Jeepers Threepers (as we like to call it) playing Trisha Jenner, 23 years later, a successful business woman who has her own teenage son, Darry, named after her long lost brother.”

“We have decided that the third film should, like one and two, be different from each other in look and locale,“Salva contines. “After all, the highway in question “runs the length of the state. So you may be missing your Spanish moss again and much of the story takes place in the desert part of our fictitious Jeepers state that includes Poho, Pertwilla, and Kissell County.”

The working title right now is Jeepers Creepers: Cathedral. This one will probably be a straight to DVD movie, but who knows, MGM has been behind this franchise and believed in it so we’ll see. I personally want a theatrical release!

Wes Craven Talks About the New Scream Trilogy.

Another popular horror series is continuing on and the director of the original series has spoken about the new films. Digital Spy recently interviewed Wes Craven who had a few things to say about Scream 4.

What's the status with Scream 4 at the moment? Are we going to see you direct it?

"Bob Weinstein (The Weinstein Company co-chairman) has talked to me, he's interested in me directing it. I had a brief conversation with Kevin [Williamson], I know that Kevin is writing. What I've said to Bob is I'm not closed to it, I'm not open to it, I'll be perfectly happy to read a script and tell him what I think. That's where it's at and I'm not expecting a script until August. I don't know what the premise is or anything."

Do you know what form it's taking? The word 'reboot' has been used.

"I don't think it's a reboot and Kevin, when he talked to me, said, 'Remember, it's not just Scream 4, it's Scream 5 and 6.' So I guess he has a trilogy in mind."

Click here for more of the site's interview with Craven.

Will this even be worth seeing if Wes Craven isn't directing? I personally can't even remember the last time Kevin Williamson wrote something worthwhile. A whole new trilogy is intriguing, but does the world really need 3 more Scream movies where some unlikely killer is revealed at the end of the movie that makes you just sigh in a fit of boredom? I'd say we're better without.

Robert Rodriguez to Reboot Predator!

Another 80s action staple is on track to be rebooted. IESB is reporting that director Robert Rodriguez has announced plans to reboot the Arnold Schwarzenegger action film, Predator.

The director made the announcement at his Troublemaker Studios, where Texas politicians signed a reform bill to the state's film incentive program. Here's what the director said at the press conference.

"I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called Nervewrackers, a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called Sin City 2 and The Jetsons."

The site also confirmed that Rodriguez was indeed directing and producing the Predator remake, and it will be his own take on the original concept.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any news surrounding this remake.

Get Ready, Get Set-Based Twilight Book.

Just before the dawn of the DVD, Twilight fans can get a dose of life on the set with Robert Pattinson (swoon).

Little, Brown and Company is releasing Twilight: Director's Notebook, by Catherine Hardwicke, on March 17.

The book follows the director's creative process throughout the making of the Pattz and Kristen Stewart blockbuster based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling series. The tome is designed to replicate the notebook she kept on set.

“With this book, I tried to show fans and future directors some of the process that the crew and I went through filming Twilight,” Hardwicke says. “My challenge was to translate Stephenie’s powerful book and make you feel what she makes you feel when you read her works.”

The publishing house promises the inside secrets on casting, location scouting, wardrobe and storyboard sketches and behind-the-scenes photographs.

The book's launch comes only four days before the March 21 release of the Twilight DVD. The film's sequel, New Moon, is scheduled for Nov. 20, 2009, theatrical release, although Hardwicke will not be at the helm. Instead, Golden Compass director Chris Weitz will be taking the lead.

Just in case you Pattzies can't wait that long, Kitson has some new Edward Cullen shirts, and here's a gallery for your eye candy pleasure.
