Halloween 3-D Gets It’s Valentine!

So we brought you the news earlier that Halloween 3-D was next up and without Rob Zombie and rumors were flying about a new director. Well it looks like it’s Patrick Lussier, the guy that brought us My Bloody Valentine 3-D and several other Dimension/Weinstein movies is negotiating to write and direct the next chapter in the Halloween series. H2 hasn’t been the strongest of stories but it has made a profit, so much that the studio is aiming for a Summer 2010 release! (And the Weinsteins need money, or so I’ve heard!

Carl Rinsch Not Confirmed to Direct Alien Prequel?

It seems like plans for a remake of a sci-fi classic has hit a little snag. According to Entertainment Weekly (as reported by The Playlist), it seems that director Carl Rinsch might not be at the helm of the new Alien prequel.

The site is reporting that 20th Century Fox is reluctant to greenlight the film with Rinsch, primarily a TV commercial director, at the helm and wants to have director Ridley Scott at the helm. Rinsch has worked for Scott's company, RSA, for years now and the site also claims that Rinsch not only works for Scott's company, but is romantically involved with his daughter, Jordan.
