2012 Behind the Scenes Look at the Massive waves of Water.

Here’s a behind the scenes featurette for Roland Emmerich’s newest disaster epic 2012. The director and his visual effects team discuss the difficulty in creating giant waves of water for the film’s tidal wave sequences. They even reference and show photos of sections of the script… Wait! This film had a script?!!!

No disrespect to the visual effects team. The effects do look pretty fantastic. It’s the situation they’re given that is ridiculous. It’s the whole idea of the film… or lack there of. It really makes me wish South Park included Emmerich in their “Imagination Land” episode where they make fun of M. Night Shyamalan, and Michael Bay.

So check out the featurette from Yahoo!, and let us know what you think! I’ve also embedded the South Park segment below as well. I highly recommend watching it, if you haven’t seen it.
